Good Shepherd was founded in 1970 as a new mission of three New Castle congregations.
The congregation is a member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
As a community of believers in Jesus Christ, the people of Good Shepherd are thankful to have been called by God, baptized into the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. As disciples of Christ, we strive each day to share our spiritual gifts, spread the good news of the gospel and serve our neighbors in our local community and around the world.
